The last event of the year took place at Thruxton Race Circuit on the 26th October 2022. Although a very wind and slightly rainy day, we had just under 100 athletes take to the circuit to complete a 2.5km Run – 7.5Km Bike – 2.5Km Run – 7.5Km Bike – 2.5Km Run.
The Inter Services was a clean sweep by the Army, winning Senior and Masters in both Men’s and Women’s’ categories.
Congratulations to the following Winners of the Inter Corps Duathlon Championship 2022:
Men’s Inter Corps Team Winners – Infantry – CSgt James Parkes, Capt George Steele, Sgt Tim Watson, LCpl Jenson Cozens, Maj Simon Kershaw and Maj Nathan Flye.
Men’s Inter Corps Team Runners Up – Royal Engineers – 2Lt Harry Tomsett, Capt Will Sadler, Maj James Gibson, Maj Stuart Baxter, Maj Malcolm Marsden and Cpl Top Rai.
Women’s Inter Corps Team Winners – 2Lt Annabelle Evans, SSgt Kate Dunscombe, Spr Lexie Towner and Col Fiona Scotter.
This event was also part of a Multi Sport day where all athletes that took part in all 3 events on the day would complete the 2022 Gladiator Challenge. This involved doing the Duathlon, then taking part in the Athletics Championship 10Km run and ending the day with a Road Cycling Championship of a 15mile 4 Up Team Trial. Congratulations to all 45 athletes that took part in completing all 3 events and going away with the Gladiator Challenge Mug!!
